The Maze Runner is the first book of The Maze Runner Trilogy
written by James Dashner.The Maze Runner is a story about a group of teenage
boys that have no memories whatsoever that trapped in a huge maze and surrounded by
an unknown creatures named Grievers.In
this book James Dashner is really epic in describing the circumstance and the
organizing among the Gladers. Glader is a nickname for everyone in that group .
Basically the book itself is centered on how the Gladers
make a try to escape from the Glade (the place where the Gladers lived in)
through the maze . The attempt is not an
easy task since the maze is always fluctuated day by day . One day ,another new
Glader that sent by the creator (people behind The Maze and The Glade)named
Thomas came and everything is started changing the moment he showed up.From the
unusual time of food delivery up to the arrival of the last Glader ever which
is a girl . The said girl named Teresa is the last Glader that the Creator ever
sent and she knows Thomas .
Indeed the book about a dystopian world is not a new thing
but the thought to make a living trapped in a maze is new from my opinion .Indeed
this book is really interesting but behind
the interesting idea of making a new story about a dystopian world ,i think James Dashner is not
fully success in describe the story .As i read the book ,i don't really get
what is the Grievers look like because the lacking explanation about the
creatures itself ,how was Thomas and Teresa really did before they came to the
Glade whether they are actually a protagonist or antagonist but most of all for
me this first series of The maze Runner Trilogy is a really good book ,it is
thrilling ,interesting and really imaginative and also this book is a must read book .
